This Cusco Amazon 10 day package brings together the best of Peru’s highlands and lowlands. Explore Cusco’s Inca heritage, visit Machu Picchu, tour the Sacred Valley, then fly to the Amazon rainforest for an unforgettable jungle adventure — wildlife spotting, jungle hikes, piranha fishing, and visits to indigenous communities.
Peru is one of the world’s most biodiverse countries, and this 10-day journey shows you why. From the 3,400-meter elevation of Cusco to the steaming lowland jungle of the Amazon basin, you experience dramatic ecosystem changes, ancient cultures, and extraordinary wildlife. The first half of the trip immerses you in Inca history — Cusco’s temples, the Sacred Valley’s fortresses, and the wonder of Machu Picchu. The second half takes you into the Amazon, where your jungle guide leads you through a world of monkeys, macaws, caimans, and giant river otters.
Days 1-5 are based in Cusco — city tour, Sacred Valley with Chinchero and Ollantaytambo, and a full day at Machu Picchu. On Day 6, you fly to Puerto Maldonado and travel by boat to your jungle lodge deep in the rainforest. Over three nights, you explore the Amazon with early morning birdwatching, oxbow lake visits, jungle night walks, piranha fishing, and a visit to an indigenous community. You fly back to Cusco on Day 9, with Day 10 as your departure day.
