Our Cusco Lake Titicaca tour 7 days combines the Inca wonders of Cusco and Machu Picchu with the unique cultural experience of Lake Titicaca — the highest navigable lake in the world at 3,812 meters. Travel from the ancient Inca capital through the Andean highlands to Puno, visiting the remarkable Uros floating reed islands and the traditional communities of Taquile Island.
This 7-day journey takes you across Peru’s southern highlands, connecting two UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Experience the contrast between Cusco’s grand stone temples and the simple reed homes of the Uros people, who have lived on floating islands for centuries. The scenic drive between Cusco and Puno passes through some of Peru’s most dramatic high-altitude landscapes, including stops at the La Raya pass (4,335 meters), the pre-Inca Pukara temple, and the colonial church of Andahuaylillas — known as the Sistine Chapel of the Americas.
Days 1-2 cover arrival and a full Cusco city tour. Day 3 takes you by scenic train to Machu Picchu for a guided tour of the citadel. Day 4 returns to Cusco with a free afternoon for shopping or optional activities. Day 5 is the scenic overland journey from Cusco to Puno with cultural stops along the way and lunch included. Day 6 is your Lake Titicaca day — a boat tour to the Uros floating islands and Taquile Island, with a traditional lunch on the island. Day 7 is departure from Puno or Juliaca airport.
